Born and raised in New Orleans, Mike has 30 plus years of coaching experience.  He attended LSU, and played on the varsity tennis team.   He set the world record for continuous doubles play for 103 hours at Lakeway Resort in Austin, Texas in 1980.

Some of Mike’s notable past students include Dr. Phil McGraw (Dr. Phil), Craig Kardon (former coach of Martina Navratilova), and Dan Rather (national news broadcaster).

Mike has coached at private clubs and resorts including Lakeway Resort in Austin, Four Seasons in Irving, and Brookhaven in Dallas.  He also coached at Highpoint Tennis Center in Plano for 9 years, and was in charge of the Competitive Youth Program for 6 years.

USPTA certified since 1980.

Mike and his wife Martha currently live in Haltom City.
